The Pack A.D.
Holy crap. Who the hell is The Pack A.D. and why hadn't I heard of them before? This is a little late, but forgive me. Two weeks ago I stumbled into The Kathouse Lounge with very low expectations. I simply needed to get out of the house. A few friends of mine were going, so what the hell. Amy was working, but also seemed mildly interested in showing later. Dear God, I'm glad I did. I have traveled out of Kansas for lesser bands. In fact I technically traveled out of state (Kansas City, MO, so I'm not sure it really counts) to see The White Stripes, which this two piece draws obvious comparisons. Imagine the White Stripes with a heavy metal drummer and a lead singer with a lot more attitude. If you pick up their LPs you won't be disappointed, but they pale in comparison to the energy they brought to the stage. Support this band. I've never had my ass kicked harder by two women in my life. Blue-collar, blues-influenced, soul-laced, rock n roll. Consider this alt.country leaning, Ryan Adams & Conor Oberst fan, duly impressed.
